Bush Signs "Clear Conscience Act"
Thinking hard.
Tobacco lobby first to exploit important new legislation
WASHINGTON – Victims of cancer, emphysema, and other diseases, who hope to scam corporations for profit by blaming their illnesses on so-called "toxins," will have a much harder time getting the financial restitution they seek under a regulation President Bush signed into law Thursday afternoon.
The Clear Conscience Act removes a crucial barrier to productivity frequently encountered by manufacturers of goods some fringe groups call "dangerous" - the guilty conscience.  By forcing corporations to operate more in the dark, the law ensures companies can take positive steps to be more accountable to their investors, while removing the frivolous costs often associated with consumer protectionism.
President Bush called the law "good," and stressed its economic importance.  "It's economically important," he said, continuing, "we're looking forward to a stronger economy, where anti-business prejudice is virtually eradicationalized."
"During the past several months the American people has faced several, numerous challenges to economical growth," Bush said, "but we can't let the terrorists win."
Bush praised Philip Morris, RJ Reynolds, and others for immediately taking advantage of the new law.  "Historically, corporations who break consumer protection laws have had to face the consequences, so I've created this initiative to remove most of those laws."
Boasted the proud Texan, "entrepeneurists now got the flexibility they need to continue growing, increasing, and expanding our financialized fiscalness.  In other words, our economy."
Black Brown is Gold
Barbara Boxer, also of California, cast the only Nay vote. Justice Brown is an African-American woman, an Alabama sharecropper's daughter, and a conservative.  But you won't hear Republicans gloating over it. Instead, Republicans are lauding Judge Brown's conservative, yet open-handed interpretation of the law, her rigid, yet mercurial support of states' rights, and her literal, yet selective interpretation of the U.S. Constitution. If the ability to appreciate diametrically opposed views is the mark of higher intelligence, there can be no doubt Justice Brown, a conservative African-American daughter of sharecroppers, is one very smart broad.  For instance, on numerous occasions she's agreed 100%, or five-fifths of the time, with our founding father's views on private property, while not necessarily agreeing with their three-fifths esteem of, say, her very existence.  And who can question the depth of thought that must come from a person who in one breath calls big government a necessary evil, and in another laments the federal government's inability to impose a specific theory of political economy on its people?  Not I. You have to get up pretty early in the morning to outmaneuver Janice Rogers Brown, a conservative black woman from a poverty-stricken southern upbringing. Regarding her dissent in Academy of Pediatrics v. Lundgren, many critics say Brown ignored the Tenth Amendment in favor of her own private beliefs.  But these same critics seem to forget Brown has the right to express those beliefs, even if she chooses to do so in the rendering of a legal opinion.  When she wrote,
Hannity, O'Reilly have yet another name to throw around during "debates."
Democrats and liberals, who just love to play the race card, have lost another African-American exemplar of inclusion.  President Bush's moderate nominee, Justice Janice Rogers Brown of the California Supreme Court, has been confirmed to the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia by a vote of 99 to 1.
Justice Brown wasn't just undermining the Tenth Amendment, she was simultaneously underscoring the First Amendment.
kinda like a big federal government that shares my own, personal philosophy,"
And that's pretty clever, if you ask me.
Lending credibility to all of FOX's misconstrued legal opinions, Judge Diminutivo embodies the very judicial prudence and integrity he once
actualized on Power of Attorney.  His greatest talent is the ability to remind us of First Amendment issues, in tones that steer away from his advocacy of the amendment.
Commies Unamerican for Tagging Gitmo with Commie Label
Treasonous liberals embrace Amnesty International's outrageous "Gulag" reference
by Tony Blows
When you take the time to behold our nation's vast political landscape, a lot of things jump out at you.  A lofty forest of righteous, judeo-Christian values.   An elegant, but gently sloping mountain chain of support for President George W. Bush.  A river of judicial reconstruction, more swift, stringent, and sparkling than the Potomac, righting the past's wrong turns.  A cloudless, crisp blue, 51% Republican-mandate sky.
But if you look to your left, you'll see something quite different.  Quite ugly, in fact.
On the left you'll see a sour bunch of bitter folks whose only area of expertise is that of name-calling.  And by name-calling I'm not referring to some harmless but playful sobriquet you might hear from the mouth of your neighborhood sports fanatic.  I'm talking real hateful stuff here.  I don't have to prove how mean-spirited the mud-slinging by liberals in this country has become lately; you already know it.
But while the most visible episode of hate-inspired name-calling in recent history is being eagerly embraced by the American Left, they are not the origin of the dreadful episode itself.
That honor goes to one Amnesty International.  Those commies have the gall to label a legitimate, well-meaning institution like our military camps in Guantanamo and Iraq with the label 'gulag.'
What's next - comparing Republicans to the Taliban?
For those who don't know, Gulags were Soviet Labor Camps, horrid places in which prisoners languished for years at a time.  Many of the prisoners in Gulags weren't even officially charged -- nor were ever shown to be affiliated -- with criminal activity.  Yet the "good" folks on the left have found this comparison satisfactory, to say the least.
To so callously throw around the term 'Gulag,' a word that conjures terrible memories for a few, and unfathomable images for rest of us, is mean, reckless, and downright traitorous.
![]() Guess which one is a Gulag. |
Comparing the Guantanamo Bay priso... Terrorism Detainment Facility to a Gulag is quite possibly the nastiest, dirtiest act of sedition I can imagine.  Anyone who thinks otherwise should probably get a first-hand view of the difference.
Liberal Media Blurts Downing Street Memo Story Five Weeks After it Surfaced
The "smear Bush first" crowd of radical journalists has desperately jumped to conclusions about the three-year-old document.  First reported in England last month, the memo says evidence for Saddam Hussein's threat was "fixed around the policy" of ousting the Iraqi dictator.
G.M. not on Board with Bush Plans to Create More Jobs
Critics blame war in Iraq and the high price of oil on projected loss of 25,000 jobs, but the administration disagrees.  "What could a war in the mideast have to do with the price of oil?" asked Whitehouse spokesperson and head shoe shiner, Scott McLellan.  "For that matter, what does the price of oil have to do with truck and SUV sales?"
Retroactivist Judges Move Quickly to Counteract Liberal Agenda
Conservative judges' hands have been forced; obligated to repair damage done by the Left, many are sensing their profound duty to God, country, and family.  "We gotta stop those loonies," an anoymous source told FOX News.
The Supreme Court's decision regarding medical marijuana, an Indiana judge telling parents what religion they can't teach their child, and Texas jurists telling adults what they can and can't do in private are just the tip of the iceberg.  "Just wait till we get ahold of Roe v. Wade," warned Karl Rove.
