What makeup?
"Could my eyeshadow be any whiter?"
Brian Williams is Number One?

Despite Bill O'Reilly's wildest fantasies the big three "alphabet"
networks continue to dominate America's nightly news ratings.
NBC is #1, and, apparently, that's not in danger of changing
anytime soon.  Not a happy thing, I say, for Brian Williams is #1.

One thing you and I -- political junkies -- enjoy doing is
analyzing reporters' political biases.  Reading anchors' faces,
listening to their tones, forcing the occasional off-the-cuff
remark through our own, "objective" filters.  Some I can read
immediately; for others it takes awhile.

But Williams is an easy read.  And he makes my skin crawl.  I don't know much about the guy, but I've been around long enough to pick up on one thing.

This guy's a turd.  A conserva-turd.

What a turd.

Turd turd turd turd turd.

Oh, and I can't watch him not in disbelief over the amount of white makeup he/they put under his eyes.  I'm a middle-aged, overweight, heterosexual man -- am I not supposed to notice the two bright and powdery circles under Williams' eyes?  Is this supposed to make him look more alert or something?  Angelic?  The opposite of an outfielder?

Where in the Bible Does it Mention Santa Claus?

Reverend Fallwell has threatened to sue anyone or group
attempting to remove religion from the holiday season by
opting to call it anything but "Christmas."

Yet the liberal practice of sue, sue, sue for silly shit is
ruining this country?

The popularity of Christmas/the holiday season/whatever
has nothing to do with the legend of Jesus.  It's the greed,
time off from work or school, gluttony, and pretty lights.

The real comedy here is watching morons like Joe Scarborough
lead with this "story."  Nothing about Iraq.  Nothing about Bush
or something John Kerry fucked up.  No "good news stories the
liberal media is covering up from Iraq" headlines.  It's Christmas,
A.K.A. The Great Pumpkin and Why Taking the Chocolate
Rabbit out of Easter is Sacrilegious
report.

As usual, the situation is ironic.  Pot calling the kettle black.  "The left is silly!  The left is politically correct!"  Uh, no.  It's the right who are being silly here.  And you wanna talk politically correct?  This is the USA - it takes a lot more balls to question Christianity than it does to fall in line with a silly, millennia-old mythology most of the country still believes.

Former FEMA Director Mike Brown Running HuffingtonPost.com

Obviously, Michael Brown has found a new calling - webmaster and forum ombudsman for the Huffington Post.

Have you visited the Huffington Post?  I love the site and visit it at least once a day.

Like a real blog
(as opposed to this piece of shit) HuffPo allows you to get into the discussion through the familiar "Post a Comment" feature.  You know the feature - that (usually) near-instantaneous appearance of your opinions... the one allowing your discussions - if you so desire - to turn into slow-rolling chat rooms?  Wonderful stuff - write a masterpiece, post it, read it vicariously as others are seeing it for the first time, then hit "refresh" and watch for the reponse(s).  And who can resist picking on the right-wing visitors who regularly troll the site (especially on HuffPo)?

But sometimes, on HuffPo, when you post a comment, it disappears altogether.  The first sign this might happen to you is one of those
"it may take some time before your comment appears - we read all posts before publishing them" screens when you submit your post.  This is not usually the case on HuffPo, and even when you get this message your post still has a good chance of actually appearing.

But sometimes it doesn't.  It disappears altogether.  And I'm not talking negative, insulting, or vulgar comments - stuff entirely in support of the original editorial.  Gone.  Completely.

I could be paranoid and posit some HuffPo bloggers have me blocked because I recently proved one of them is just a bit misinformed, ...nah!

WTF, guys?  Get your shit together.
